Linen/Cotton Handkerchief

As I took stock of our tissue paper supply this week, I began to think of using my imperfect "seconds" stash to make hankies for my family. I made a few extras for those of you interested. These can be used as hankies, a napkin, or feel free to cut it up in pieces to create six matching patches for your own project! This fabric is lightweight and very soft, which makes it a great oversized hankie. Each handkerchief has six block prints.

These hankies are printed on "seconds" which may show visible color fades or color bleeds. I deemed these imperfect for printing my cloth napkins, but they work perfectly as a handkerchief. My Folk Art design covers the entire handkerchief, which very much hides any potential imperfections. I've priced them accordingly, all are $10 which reflect these as "seconds".

Hankies are sold in the following options:

Peach (magenta ink)

Turquoise (turquoise ink)

White (turquoise ink)

This Folk Art design was drawn and carved by hand. Block printed onto flax cotton (12% linen, 88% cotton).

Handkerchiefs measure approximately 18”x18” square, pre-washed, and have a white thread serged edge. The flax cotton is a perfect addition to the linen to keep the wrinkles to a minimum. And linen, known for its strength and absorbency, ensures that you will enjoy this hankie for many years.

Each hankie is hand printed using water based, non toxic, speedball block printing fabric ink. Recommend to wash in cold with like colors, tumble dry low for longevity of the print. Remove from dryer promptly, iron on reverse if needed.

Due to the nature of block printing - there will be some variance of color in the ink.
